I loved Norma's website and what she had to offer, she just fit right in with our family.  I think when we first got here (Hermosillo), Spanish was a struggle and it was intimidating. Now we can order food, get a haircut, handle car repairs, and even go to the doctor with confidence. We´ve been able to navigate and communicate a lot more thanks to Norma. We´ve made new friends, too!  We´ve made a ton of progress in a short period.

This was a life changing experience!

Ellie Hutchinson

“I loved and found every language lesson, every ordering food or coffee moment, and every cultural and local outing valuable. The most relevant experiences for me were those associated with history for language learning, like visiting the Mercado, the lessons at Plaza Londres, and of course the cultural outings like the Museum and the dancing.  Getting up and having my lessons in the morning helped to prepare me for the excursions in the afternoons and the homework helped to solidify what I was learning and what I came to Vive Spanish Adventure. I was surprised that everybody was so patient and kind with me and everyone’s willingness to help. I can´t wait to go back (already planning a trip for the end of the year). All in all, I gained so much confidence, I´m not afraid of speaking Spanish anymore”.

Ultimately she helped me increase my ability to converse in Spanish to the point where I better connected with my wife's family. This changed the equation for me from previous years, and really helped improve my relationship with them.

If you need to improve your Spanish quickly, whether for personal or professional reasons, I believe Norma is going to put in the time to create the best way to do that in the time that you have to dedicate to the effort.

Norma was our teacher for the 3 years that we lived in Hermosillo. It was fun to go for coffee, go out for lunch, go shopping, and to the market and practice Spanish.  It was very helpful to learn Spanish at a conversational level. Living in Hermosillo was great and we made tons of friends. Norma is one of them.

I spent a couple of years working in Hermosillo. Norma was a great help with my Spanish since I had taken very basic Spanish lessons in high school. Norma made me feel comfortable speaking Spanish in different situations. My Spanish level improved in a short time, because she always encouraged me and motivated me to communicate with coworkers.

Norma is an excellent teacher with a wide professional capacity to teach you English at the highest level. Committed to your learning and very patient so that you have the confidence and peace of mind to learn. I always felt very motivated by her, reaching the proposed goals in my English language .

Benito Alvarez

I have been learning English with Norma for almost 4 years and she has been my great support to speak English with anyone. I have a lot of fun in her classes and for me it is an unforgettable experience. I greatly recommend her teaching skills. She´s an excellent person and excellent professional.

Batul True Heart

“Norma is the best Spanish teacher i’ve had, and I’ve had a few. It wasn’t my choice to not be taught Spanish at birth, especially as a Yaqui-Chicane, Mexican & Panamanian-American. Still, I’ve always felt separate and ashamed for not speaking the language of my family and ancestors. The loss of language, along with the loss of connection that went with it, has been a traumatic part of my story. That, and also having learning differences/disabilities has made my personal Spanish learning journey quite difficult. But Norma was so patient with me from the start. She was warm, personable, and professional. We went through many engaging lessons together and she never once shamed me for asking too many questions. I could be honest with her about my nervousness and she would always respond with lightheartedness and relatability.
